The Middle Atlantic Actuarial Club was founded in 1935.
Because of its unique geographic location, the membership includes actuaries from virtually all disciplines and corporate affiliations.
100 - 200 members have attended meetings in the recent past. Prior to Covid, the meetings draw mainly from Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. Since Covid we have a national presence for all over the U.S., and we welcome any actuary or interested person at our annual meetings.
Our meetings have substantive professional content, but are quite informal, and the club encourages new members of our profession to attend and actively participate. Each year sessions are planned to provide credits for the Enrolled Actuary and for Continuing Education.
