About the Club

The Middle Atlantic Actuarial Club was founded more than 65 years ago. Because of its unique geographic location, the membership includes actuaries from virtually all disciplines and corporate affiliations.  Anyone familiar with the actuarial literature will recognize many familiar names in the membership roles.

There are about 100 members in the club from Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, and North Carolina.  A few ex-patriots have stayed with the club after moving to other areas. Although the club charter refers to these specific geographic locations, we welcome any actuary or interested person at our annual meetings.

Annual meetings have substantive professional content but are quite informal and the club encourages new members of our profession to attend and actively participate. Each year sessions are planned to provide credits for the Enrolled Actuary.
